TPA's Mission is to serve as the primary advocate for members personal and professional development and as a strong safety net for members and children enrolled in pre-school through grade 12.

Tennessee Principal

Tennessee Principal...TPA journal of theory into practice for  school leaders, published semiannually. Articles reflect principals at work and their emerging priorities, including submitted and requested material. Currently Catherine Prentis of Cockrill Elementary in Nashville serves as editor (catherine.prentis@mnps.org).

 

Frontline

Frontline is a quarterly news update on current activities of TPA and its membership. Published and distributed to every principal in Tennessee each September in print and electronic format, other issues are on the website and are archived . Current editor is the TPA executive director, Dr Ernest Bentley,Jr. (tnprinassoc@comcast.net) .

 

Weekly Legislative Information

Stephen SmithMr. Smith's practice concentrates in the areas of education law, government relations and administrative law. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and his Juris Doctor degree from the Nashville School of Law. His prior work experience includes 10 years with the Tennessee School Boards Association, where he focused on government and labor relations activities and established himself as an expert in education legislation and policy.
